Shuttered and Snapped is more than just a photography business - it's been a creative journey.

 

Rachael first picked up an slr when she was convinced she was destined to become a police officer. The class was " Crime Scene Photography."

 

A few years later she purchased her first dslr before a special trip to Europe. After that trip, she paired up with Mesmersive (the snap to her shutter) and photographed weddings and events before moving into a more solitary scope of nature and architecture while working heavily in front of the camera.  

 

Being the absolute worst in front of a still camera is truly a strength in working with people in front of her lens. It's given Rachael first-hand experience in knowing how unbelievably awkward it can be to have a camera staring at you. Rachael has an ability to disarm and allow her clients to relax in front of her camera, whether a pro or a novice, she's often been commended for this trait.

 

Her aim is to create timeless portraits that reflect the unique personalities of her clients in that relaxed, carefree moment.
